Each week is self-contained and drop-in. The class consists of guided meditations, a talk, discussion and refreshments.
Happiness that Lasts!
Happiness is a state of mind, therefore the real source of happiness lies in the mind, not in external circumstances. If our mind is pure and peaceful we shall be happy, regardless of our external conditions, but if it is impure and unpeaceful we shall never find happiness, no matter how much we try to change our external circumstances. In this series of classes we will look at how Buddhist teachings can help us create our own happiness and inner peace. By putting these teachings into practice naturally our relationships will improve and become more harmonious and we will solve our daily problems such as the problems of anger, jealousy, frustration and unhappiness.

We all want to feel good about ourselves, but so often have critical attitudes towards both ourself and others. Suffering from a lack of self esteem can adversely affect our daily life, relationships and spiritual development. In these classes we will look at how meditation and Buddhist wisdom enables us to change this, leading us to us improving our good qualities and developing positive, happy states of mind, as well as enabling us to be a positive influence on those around us.
